Flinders Strait Shipping Company

In 1992 Glasgow Engineering were required to install a new Cummins Engine into the Lady Jillian for the Flinders Strait Shipping Company Ltd. The Lady Jillian was a trading ketch that ran supplies and livestock to the Islands of Bass Strait. The repower job required for new engine beds to be designed and manufactured a new intermediate shaft and propeller shaft with all design work and installation being carried out by Glasgow Engineering personnel. Over the years much work was carried out for the Trading Boats of Bass Strait and the Flinders Strait Shipping Company was a very respected customer of Glasgow Engineering
