In 1965 Glasgow Engineering built its first fishing vessel named the Telaka for Graeme Holloway of Lady Barron, Flinders Island. This boat proved very successful and seaworthy. It was quite a feat removing it from Glasgow Engineering’s yard to the launching ramp near the Tamar Yacht Club in Park Street, Launceston, taking it on a route almost through the centre of the city.
