Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH & Co. KG, with its head office in Ruhstorf an der Rott, is a globally leading German diesel engine manufacturer.

The family run company employs more than 900 employees,and was foundered by Mathias Hatz in 1880. From the original repair business for agricultural machines and locomotives, it has developed into a globally active company which includes diesel engine construction, contract manufacture of conrods and crankshafts as well as system construction. The family company comprises three plants, 13 of its own,, 114 Hatz agents in 120 countries and more than 500 service centers worldwide. Thus Hatz is able to supply spare parts quickly and ensure replacement systems.
